Nexpointe founder, Brose McVey, has over 25 years of experience in government relations, public policy and public affairs. He began his career in Washington, DC as an intern to U.S. Senator Richard Lugar and went on to serve then-U.S. Senator Dan Quayle as a Legislative Assistant, Special Assistant and Deputy Press Secretary.
After serving as Executive Vice President of a national trade association, Brose returned to his home state of Indiana in 1991 to manage the successful statewide reelection campaign of then-U.S. Senator Dan Coats. Following the 1992 Senate campaign, McVey founded his own public affairs firm and has served clients since then. In 2002, Brose was the Republican nominee for Congress in Indiana’s 7th Congressional District, challenging a long time incumbent. His campaign attracted national attention and was highly targeted by the White House and top Republican Party organizations. He has recently announced his candidacy for an Indiana Congressional Seat for the 2010 election.
Brose has served as a paid and volunteer advisor to numerous national, state and local candidates for office and has provided counsel and services to top companies and national trade associations, and is considered the firm’s managing partner. Most recently, Brose led a national team studying Indiana’s defense, homeland security and NASA capabilities and creating a strategic plan designed to improve Indiana’s capture of contracts and grants from these three federal departments. Previously, McVey served as the lead consultant to the State in its development of the Hoosier Home Grown Energy Plan, contributed to the State’s Agriculture Plan and the State Fair’s new, 10-year plan.
Ken Feeley is an experienced executive with proven skills in, P&L management, organizational development, product development and sales. Following successful careers at Verizon, Motorola and, most recently as VP at Telamon Corp., Ken joined Nexpointe in the role of Chief Operating Officer. In that position he is bringing creative solutions to solve customer, organizational and management challenges.
Mark joined Nexpointe Supply Chain in March of 2009 as the Director of Sales. Mark brings his strategic vision and creativity to develop prospects, clients and customers within the Supply Chain Network. Prior to joining Nexpointe, Mark has acted in sales roles for a variety of technology companies, owned a small consumer products business and was a peer to Ken Feeley at Telamon as VP of Major Accounts, working with AT&T, Cisco and other telecom and networking companies.
Ron served as the firm’s primary liaison with our small business Supply Chain clientele, providing training, coaching, and trouble shooting on federal defense contract matters.
Rom recently retired after 35 years of Federal Service. His last assignment was as a Federal Contracting Officer for the Defense Contract Management Agency with responsibilities for offices in Indiana, Michigan, Western Ohio and Central Pennsylvania.
Ron was the Indiana State Commander for the Veterans of Foreign Wars during 2005-2006. His motto was “Serving the Deserving”. Ron is a Legacy Life Member of Fort Harrison VFW Post 7119 where he has served three times as Post Commander. He is also a member of AmVet Post 99 and DAV Post 52 in Indianapolis, American Legion Post 470 in Fishers and the White River Chapter of MOAA. He currently serves as Chairman of the Military / Veterans Coalition of Indiana.
He graduated from Ohio State University in 1973 with a degree in Agricultural Education. Being a four year ROTC student, he was commissioned a second lieutenant upon graduation and entered active service. Ron served on active duty for 12 years stationed at Fort Jackson, SC, three duty stations in Germany, and Fort Benjamin Harrison, where he later joined the Army Reserve. While on active duty, he completed his Master Degree in Executive Development for Public Service at Ball State University in 1983.
His military training includes the QuarterMaster Officer Basic and Advance Courses and the Command and General Staff War College. Ron served as the Petroleum Branch Chief during Desert Shield / Desert Storm with the 22nd Support Command in Daharan, Saudi Arabia. He retired at the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in 1998 after 25 combined years in the active and reserve components. His last assignment was as the Deputy Chief of Staff, Logistics, 88th Regional Support Group, Indianapolis.
As Senior Government Marketing Consultant for Nexpointe, Donald R. Peters brings 39 years of experience working in the acquisition, ordinance and engineering fields at Crane Naval Warfare Surface Center. Don was the Navy and Marine Corps representative to the single manager for plastic explosives. He was the project manager for the Marine Corps tank, large caliber, and small arms munitions as well as pyrotechnics and demolition explosives. Don developed and managed a system to recover old plastic explosives and convert them into new ordnance items, saving the Federal Government over $25,000,000.
At Crane, Don Peters served as every type of procurement officer. He served as Project Manager, Program Manager, Acquisition Manager, Contract Officer and Terminating Officer. He awarded hundreds of Navy contracts worth over $250,000,000 dollars. Don’s procurement and Crane experience is invaluable to Nexpointe’s clients.
